Bali Flower Businesses Are Jaded
February 06, 2010 - Fewer tourists visit to Bali recently, making the flower business listless. It's because the hotels, vilas, travel agents, and restaurants also reduce the demand for various types of flowers used to be ordered.
Dewi Aminudin, florist from Nusa Dua, Badung said, the tides of flower business is almost always proportional to the level of Bali tourists visit. Flower orders increased at the end of the holiday season last year until early 2010. But these days the orders continued to decline. The orders usually come back to normal on holiday season, April to June or July.
Various tourism companies like hotels, usually ordered flowers not only for routine needs as a room display, but often also to welcome special guests.
The decline of flowers demand is also visible from fresh flowers shipment using night buses. The buses usually come from East Java on early morning. Recently, those buses only delivere one or two large boxes containing flowers. While there are a lot of demand, one bus can delivere about five large boxes of flowers.
